An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
