Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev won his initial trophy for 882 days with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a former world number one, has had a challenging season, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's initial championship since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface since March of the previous year.
The win also indicates he has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had caused observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play positively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden tour title, took control to push for a third set.
The opponent saved 4 initial chances in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
